Your Medicare plan may not be the best fit anymore

Plans change yearly: costs, drug lists, even doctors. Here’s how to make sure yours still works.

Every year, Medicare gives you a short window to make changes to your Medicare plan.

It’s called the Annual Enrollment Period (AEP) and it runs from October 15 to December 7.

That means you can:

  • Switch from Original Medicare to Advantage

  • Move from one Advantage plan to another

  • Or Make changes to your Part D prescription coverage.

And if you’re happy with your current plan, you don’t have to do anything.

Simple enough.

But here’s where people get tripped up…

Plans don’t stay the same.

👉 Premiums change.

👉 Drug lists change.

👉 Sometimes doctors drop out of networks.

Yet nearly 7 in 10 people just stick with the plan they had last year.

Even when it’s no longer the best fit.

That’s why AEP matters.

It’s your chance to make sure the plan you’re on today still works for you tomorrow.

Now here’s the thing: Medicare doesn’t allow us to go over the new plans until October 15.

But waiting until then usually means packed phone lines, last-minute stress, and rushing through decisions.

Starting early means you’ll avoid the rush and give yourself time to review calmly.

That way, on October 15, you’ll be first in line to review your new plan options without any stress.

That’s all for today!
